An honest and enjoyable experience

Legally Lucky.
My first novel, depicts a roller coaster ride of life's ups and downs.
An ordinary man, living an otherwise ordinary life has the chance happening of coming into money.
Money is one way people can achieve their dreams, hopes and aspirations but is it all fairy tales from then on?
Millionaire status overnight seems appealing to us,  however there are down sides to most things, including this.

Legally Lucky has a deep morality to it.
It will hopefully lead the reader to appreciate life, to carry on dreaming but to live life rather than waiting for a chance in millions.

It is based on some of the aspects of my own life and experiences.
It is fiction but a very honest story,  one most can enjoy.

It's available on kindle Countdown Deal at the moment.
Give yourself a treat,  grab a bargain and enjoy Legally Lucky

It's on.... Amazon Kindle

Legally Lucky is now available in the kindle edition for only £0.99

Britain's most haunted building

A recent list of the top 5 most haunted places in Great Britain named this place in Essex as number one...
Borley Rectory is not a place for the faint hearted. Built in 1863 in Borley, Essex, UK, it’s said to be the most haunted house in England. The enormous amount of eye witness sightings suggest that even though many can be explained away as natural phenomina, a number still remain a mystery.
There have been sightings of a nun patrolling the so-called ‘Nun’s walk’ with the story that she fell in love with a monk but before their plan of running away together could happen, he was executed and the nun was bricked up in the cellars. I think that’s what they call ‘tough love’!
I'll have to give it a visit for inspiration for Phantasms in the Infirmary.. Vol II.

Telling a story

Writing a book is a chance to tell a story.
Some are personal,  some adapted and others are intended.
My reasons for writing are to leave you, the reader,  a story.
A tale to be told and enjoyed.
My legacy of story telling...
The stories are accumulating.
There are four published and more in construction.
The foundations are ready and the building is on the way.
Watch out for more on my website and Amazon page...

Read something new, a breath of fresh air...

The preceding link will take you to my amazon author page.
Within the page link you will find 4 books.
Each book is similar in one way only,  they are written by me...  Well my last novel is Co-authored with my wife, Julie.

They are all works of fiction but all very different.

I can appreciate that self published authors will try to sell their books however this is not a hard sell.
This is steering you into a few hours of engagement with the stories.
Legally Lucky, Phobic Wars, Mental Dental are Phantasms in the Infirmary are enjoyable and engaging.
They have been precision engineered to satisfy your creative needs.
They inspire, entertain and help the reader gain some knowledge on certain subjects covered by the stories although the joy of reading is the main aim.

Go for it,  try one, two, three or all four.
You will not regret it and my aim of unlocking my books to the world will be achieved.
Thank you.

Pseudo-political, clever design

See the design I have submitted for considering..  It's on Qwertee.Com.
It is based on the struggle for Gib to cut itself from the journalistic issues that keep it chained to Spain...  It's Deep.

Gibraltar, Atlantis and mythology

I have always been fascinated by Atlantis.
I wrote about it in Phobic Wars...
Is it any more wh the search for Atlantis is firmly centred around my home town of Gibraltar!

The following article from the New York Times certainly makes me think of why.

"The Rock of Gibraltar is part of Plato’s most tantalizing clue: that Atlantis was an island that once sat “in front of the mouth” of the Pillars of Hercules. Ancient accounts place these columns at Gibraltar and Jebel Musa, a peak across the straits in Morocco, or Monte Hacho, a smaller mountain slightly farther east."

I was recently home and took the attached photo.
Enjoy the article and pic

Mental Dental Kindle Countdown

Mental Dental

Dr. Jessie Stacks, a competent and caring dentist, is devastated when a healthy patient dies in her surgery. Despite being exonerated she still has to endure the police enquiry and press frenzy which ensue following this sudden and unexpected death. She also experiences a crisis of confidence in her own dental skills and proficiency as a result of the traumatic episode. She sets out to discover if there have been any other similar unexpected deaths within the setting of a dental surgery and whether there are any common factors linking any such deaths, enlisting the invaluable help of her father, an eminent dental surgeon "with connections in high places". He manages to access sensitive and privileged information for her and as Jessie delves deeper into the circumstances of other similar deaths she begins to see a disturbing pattern emerge. But what possible motive could there be for these random deaths? Is it possible that such incredible depravity actually exists? Eventually Jessie finds the unwelcome answers to these questions.
I thought the plot ingenious and entertaining (although hopefully implausible!) and I'm sure it has done nothing to help foster good patient-dentist relationships!

Breathtaking and meticulously crafted

Forewarned is forearmed

Phantasms in the Infirmary...

“Many of these stories end badly for at least one of the people in them. Consider yourself warned.”

This is a collection of straight out horror and ghost stories.  It's peppered with twisted science fiction, modern fairy tales and a little bit of magic... Black magic.
These are breathtakingly told and meticulously developed into the tales contained within. Ouija boards, spectral activity within the confines of a sanctuary for health,  a hospital.
Immerse yourself in the world of ghoulish visitations, noises and voices from beyond the realm of this world.

Phantasms in the Infirmary is a great compilation of chilling horror.

Art for art's sake

The creative juices are high and it's not all about writing either.
After a hard days work,  I thought why not paint a bit...
Below is a canvas painting I conjured up this evening.
It's silver Acrylic mainly and depicts a row of trees in a stormy sky.
One hours work..  A pleasure.

I think it works well... Do you?

Apparitions, paranormal activities and ghost stories

Smokey effect, soul less apparitions.
It makes no sense...  Is it a ghost.  Something unusual looking at you, a strong sense of something looking at you.  A presence.
Indistinguishable shapes.
Is it really there?

Something about horror makes us want to know more.

Paranormal activities attract curiosity.
This is why Phantasms in the Infirmary is selling well.
They are based on eyewitness accounts,  discovered by chance during an otherwise mundane hospital shift.
An experience that has marked the story tellers so much that they have shared these occurrences with their colleagues.
Open to ridicule by unbelievers however they are spellbound and mesmerised enough to need to share them.
The have been added to a little by the authors so they are entertaining but they have happened.  Poetic licence hopefully amplifies them and garnishes the end product to ensure the readers are hooked on horror.
The mind does play tricks but are these fearsome fiends imagined?

Take a trip into hospital horror at its beastly best... Phantasms in the Infirmary.
Asylums, workhouses, death, witchcraft and ghost stories galore inside.

Are you brave enough to be admitted into St. Augastine hospital?
No need to go that far,  read Phantasms in the Infirmary...  It's safer,  trust me!

World book day : Book covers explained

4 books with original covers.
What do they mean?

Let's examine them one by one...

Legally Lucky :
The man on the floor is me.
Its a story of plenty and hope,  money and friendship coupled with crime and justice.
Originally I wanted a judge and lottery balls in the cover.  I listened!
The definitive cover depicts some of the plot of the story with money strewn around and the handcuffed author on the floor.  Created by one of my sons,  a graphic designer and whizz on photoshop.

Phobic Wars :
This one is about cockroaches and a fictional creation that is based on Greek myth of Medusa. It is continuing the Greek myth, particularly Atlantis within the body of the novel.
The destruction to humanity is depicted by the cityscape in the background...  I made this one and was pleased at the result.

Menta Dental (MBP) :
The cover was another one I designed and I wanted to make it funky.
The faces of the dentists are purposely repeated.  It allows for the theme of the book.  One dentist accused of murder and another in the back who is really to blame...  Clever I thought!!

Phantasms in the Infirmary :
This one is down to my son's magic with design and ideas.
This is a hospital horror story collection and the silhouette of the nurse on a black background with the white open door being instrumental.
It again depicts the open doorway between the world of the living and the dead. It's dark and menacing I hope.

Writing a book and associating a cover that works are a pleasure.

Again,  the stories on the covers are deep and well thought out in composition and meaning.

What are your thoughts?

Powerful publishing

Mental Dental (MBP)
Read it!

Simply because you have never read anything like this, ever.

It's a blend of murder, mystery, good and evil. Intrigue and fear, twists and turns galore.
People are dying and innocent people are being blamed.

One person dies and another destroyed.. Two for the price of one.
The recognition of a pattern is overlooked by law enforcement agencies until one of the accused stumbles on the truth.
Join Dr Jessie Stack in her quest for truth.  Her life and those of others depend on it.

This stylish killer thriller is a must read... Link

Find it on Amazon Kindle, paperback or on the Lulu.Com website.... You will be thankful for the recommendation.

Wednesday wish

My wish for today...  Simply that you identify a great book.
There's a massive selection and choice available on the Web.
However, consider the following :

#Legally Lucky
#Phobic Wars
#Mental Dental
#Phantasms in the Infirmary

4 very different books. Very similar in their ability to capture the reader in the moment.

Try one or all four.  They are inexpensive and all I ask from you,  if you enjoyed them, please review them.

#TerrorTuesday: Shadows, screams and scary stuff

Lurking in the shadows,  nightmares become reality...
The battles between good and evil happen all around us.
It's only when the doors between both worlds are open that the battle is drawn closer to us.
Hospitals are somewhere that these planes cross. The domain is both a departure point as well as a reception area for life. It’s ideal to interact with the other side.
Phantasms in the Infirmary is based on the unnerving supernatural tales told by generations of healthcare workers.  Stories of feelings, sensation and sights,  fluctuating temperatures as well as visions of death.
Phantasms in the Infirmary is hospital horror at its best...
These yarns occur in one hospital in a fictitious town.  It could be any hospital in any city or town anywhere in the world...
Seek the thrill of ghostly hauntings and spectral screaming that are contained within....

Page Turner supreme

Mental Dental (Murder by Proxy)
Guaranteed to meet your thriller needs.
When a patient undertaking routine Dental care suddenly dies,  the dentist in charge of his care is accused of his murder.

This enthrall story involves the trials and tribulations of Dr Jessie Stack proving her innocence.
Inadvertently she uncovers multiple and seemingly unrelated deaths.  Murdered patients who have been dispatched by a sinister and perverse pleasure to kill and pass the blame on innocent people.

This is psychopathic killing at its worst....
Original, entertaining page turner.

Great story, brilliant reviews and it's waiting for you to get your teeth into...
