Sampler of the book's contents

Here is a little sampler to entice you, wet your appetite to find out more and enjoy the horror within Phantasms in the Infirmary.....
This is taken from the chapter: "Visiting Angel"

"Throughout St Augustus’ life, existence and being, there had been numerous rumours of ghostly apparitions, strange lights, unearthly sounds and noises, piercing screams from beyond the grave and bizarre shadows in the many rooms, wards and corridors that were secreted within the old building.

That feeling of “not being alone”, that there was “something else” there with you was ever present. The building felt haunted and many of its live inhabitants shared the negative and unnerving feeling.
There were copious stories of objects moving on their own, propelling themselves across surfaces lacking any logical explanation.
There were tales of poltergeist activity aplenty, ghostly movers and shakers at their clinical best, or at their worst. It was dependent on the views of the witnesses.
Local legends and numerous shared stories of bits and pieces of equipment, patient’s personal belongings and even food going missing.
Some of the recollections told of things suddenly disappearing for no obvious reasons or explanation in front of witnesses eyes.
People had recounted and experienced unearthly and unexplainable creepy noises, squeaky floors and footsteps that had no apparent or visible physical source. This was not all...."

Plugging the new book - Phantasms in the Infirmary

I am putting quite a bit of effort in plugging our new book - Phantasms in the Infirmary, however there are three others available to read right now

Legally Lucky
Phobic Wars
Mental Dental (MBP)

They are all very different and very deserving, in my view but I am biased.

So why write?
Is it for the money? Well that to me is secondary.
I write to relax and unwind, leave the present and enter a creative realm of fiction.

I am very proud of what I have written and I appreciate it may not be Dickensian on Shakespearian but it is contemporary.

They are great stories underpinning my own unique style of writing.
I am used to writing research and reports professionally and this sometimes may be slightly unorthodox but its how I do it...

I hope you can give them a chance, read them, enjoy them. If you do (or don't), I ask you to please leave a review on my author page or on my website / blog...
This will help  distribute my work so more people can enjoy them.

Thanks for your time and interest and don' forget to share the fruits of my thoughts.

Thanks
Ram

Life is so funnysometimes, embarassing too....
I was chatting to Keiron, my App developing son, about ideas to promote Phantasms in the Infirmary.
He said, you can send a horror story onto one of the pages.
Keiron said ' read some first and see what the style is first'
Me being an inpatient so and so, just posted one of my stories onto the site. This would have been great but I added a quick promo message.

It got a few hits but then got taken off... Why? Because part of the conditions are No promotion......
Oops!!!!!!

Happy Halloween

To everyone that reads this post on my blog

Whatever and wherever you are celebrating, trick or treating, enjoy the hauntings and encounters of the horror kind.

Like the book on the history of glue, you cannot put this one down! Phantasms in the Infirmary

All the focus is on the new book "Phantasms in the Infirmary".
There are lots of stories coming in on Facebook from colleagues, ex-colleagues and friends.
These are really inspirational and are already finding their way onto the "current ideas" note pad which will develop into Volume II of this series of books.

The success of this book is very much dependent on our marketing it.
I thought publishing this for Halloween would be a great idea and the beauty of self publishing is we set our own deadlines and achieved them.

The book is selling and bouncing around the charts, still in the tens of thousands and far from reaching the top 100. A top 10 slot is the aim!

Like the book on the history of glue,.. you won;t be able to put this one down!

It is a must read and easy / flowing read.

Soon to be available on Paperback too... so if you but a paperback copy, you can also get a vastly reduced price on the Kindle version.

There are offers planned and we have already dropped the price for the launch, more importantly, it will not increase in the foreseeable future.

Support independent authors by reviewing the book and remember there are 3 other good reads available on my Amazon Author Page for you to read more.

Please share this post and the link below

Phantasms in the Infirmary
Edits,  graphics and all avoidable issues addressed.
The book completed,  files including cover submitted. IBM obtained.
Pricing structure and distribution..  Checked

Files are now under review and this means that the book is soon to be published in both paperback edition and Kindle edition.

The process takes a little time but it should all be ready for reading just before Halloween..  Deadline achieved!

My co-author,  Julie,  My wife, has worked hard to accommodate the deadline.

My one worry,  will it link directly to my existing author page?

Now we wait with a view to updates on this blog...

£150,000,000 lottery

£150,000,000 is open to be won tomorrow on the Euro millions.
That is an obscene amount of money.
What would you do with all that tax free cash at your disposal?
Would it change your life?
You bet it would...
However,  would it be for the better?
"Legally Lucky " was my first book and explores the results of chance and being rich.
It's a work of fiction based on many aspects encountered in life... But is it far from the truth?
In an age of excesses, money and paranoia,  this could come true.
Read all about it.
Available on paperback or Kindle ebook on the Amazon websites.
Enjoy, plan your life wisely and live your life in the present.

The more people reading my novels means sharing the stories and inspiration for me to write more...

Dracula... on tv

Hammer house of horrors version of Dracula...
on TV now
The brilliant Christoper Lee....
1958 version... still wonderful to watch

Short stories ...

Phantasms in the infirmary
Short stories provide somebody with a condensed tale that offers the reader a temporary escape from reality and use their imagination with the prompt from the text.
Phantasms in the infirmary does exactly this but with a twist of horror and a dash of spectral ghoulishness.

The collected stories provide a range of eras, situations and victims as well as the ghostly apparitions perpetrating the spooky encounters.

It is soon going to be available for purchase on the Amazon websites. It will be in kindle format and paperback

The countdown starts soon, in time for Halloween....

Legally Lucky could be a good film

My publisher rang asking me to consider getting more promotional about my first novel..  Legally Lucky
They said it has the making of a great film.
I'd like to solicit some opinion on this.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.
Writing a screenplay is another thing for a novice like me and I'd need some guidance.
Any ideas?

Gibraltar Football... round 2

My home town of Gibraltar, newbies to uefa, played their second match, result was 7-0 to the republic of Ireland.
The results were to be expected, big learning curve for us but great last 25 minutes by the lads.
No shame to losing to the big boys
its a great opportunity to show the world we can compete and as the song goes... things can only get better.
Losing to Poland last time was made a little easier as they beat the world champions Germany 2:0 today....

Keep up the good work boys
